Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye are meeting with the Commanders, and one of those two is the guy RG3 says the team should draft at No. 2.

Okay, spoiler alert, it’s Daniels, as he said on TV that “Daniels is better for Washington than Maye…they be in a win now mode, and when you take (Daniels’) experience and look at the play style, I understand why they would take that route and go with him.”

So how do BMitch & Finlay feel about that?

“I feel like he made his argument in reverse order; he explained why he thinks it should be Daniels and I tend to agree with him, but I don't understand why he started with the players they have,” JP said. “That shouldn't be what you're making your decision on. You’re trying to pick the best quarterback.”

“Those are the people you can help and you can add his excitement to – but I think whatever Robert says is going to be dissected. Robert is just one of those guys in this town now,” BMitch said. “I didn't see eye to eye with him a lot of times, but the whole thing about it is he didn't say nothing that nobody thinks. Some people might not think it, other people think exactly what he said.”

JP gets that and thinks Daniels is the pick, even if he also likes Maye, because Daniels does allow you to hit the ground running. And to the point, Merril Hoge has said ‘Maye is the kind of player that gets a coach fired,’ and that being brought up meant time for a BMitch rant.

“This is where I have an issue with some people in the media: when someone says something negative about Daniels, they run with it. They can't wait to post it on their social media and talk about it all day – but when somebody says something negative about Drake Maye, they wanna immediately defend it,” Brian said. “So let's be real: if a person don't know what he's talking about on one of them, he probably don't know what he's talking about in the other one. Deal with both of them the same way, either defend both and say the person don't know or sit up there and go out there and just go with them, but you can't be playing both of them different ways and act like, oh I don't really care either way.”
