JP Finlay has been keeping tabs on Commanders OTAs this week, and back in DC from the NFL Owner’s Meetings in Minneapolis on Thursday, he said to open BMitch & Finlay (sans Brian) that “you can’t take too much from it, but you have to look at it and try to understand what you’re seeing that could matter down the road, and what you’re seeing that is May football.”
That said, JP looked at what he saw and heard, and the moves the Commanders made (especially on the offensive line) and has to wonder – will the Commanders’ offense look more up-tempo like the Chiefs offense was under Eric Bieniemy, or will it be, as Ron Rivera said, 'the same system' Charles Leno Jr. played in with Chicago under Matt Nagy, the offensive coordinator in KC before and again after Bieniemy, where there were issues with both the offensive line and the QB pre-Justin Fields?
