BMitch & Finlay break down why they like Commanders draft pick of Emmanuel Forbes

BMitch and Finlay understand that there may have been more pressing needs for the Commanders to address in the first round of the NFL Draft, but when keeping the focus specifically on the player they picked, Washington got a good one in cornerback Emmanuel Forbes.

“Starting in a vacuum, not looking in the context surrounding the selection, but just who they got, like the kid they got,” Finlay said.

“Speed: a 4.35. Playmaker: 14 interceptions in three years at Mississippi State, and six house calls, a new NCAA record. All of this happening in the SEC, not missing games, proving to be durable, and a great attitude.”

BMitch has heard the complaints about Forbes’ size, at 6-foot-1 and 166 pounds, but there have been recent draft picks that have debunked size concerns, and Forbes can certainly fit into that category.

“I know everyone wants to look at the kid’s size, but he played three years in the SEC,” BMitch said. “DeVonta Smith, who is destroying people in the league right now, had a similar body type, and nobody thought he could do it. Is he doing it? Yes.

“Sometimes, you just have to go with what you feel. I think he’s a good enough player to go out and handle business.”
