The Commanders added the spear alternate logo along with a new black jersey, with burgundy numbers, and the actual burgundy and whites still evoking the brand of yesteryear in a modern format.

"We put the spear on there to make it relevant today, but also as a nod to the past," Commanders Team President Mark Clouse told BMitch & Finlay this morning.
Oh, and about that past, and a certain other logo or brand likeness many have been clamoring for?
"We are on a journey," Clouse said. "We’re going to continue to think about how we bring more elements of our heritage."

Who knows if we'll ever see the old logo in some form, if not the name, but for now, the 106.7 The Fan staff had a blast with the new duds, which Clouse and the team graciously brought in for a look-see!
