It’s Tuesday, and on the final pre-game Tuesday of the 2023 NFL season, BMitch & Finlay added an extra guest as they prepare for the Commanders’ future, which begins somewhere around 7:30 p.m. Sunday!
In this week’s hat trick, we have usual Tuesday gust Barstool Nate weighing in on the stat of the Commanders with one week to go, and as she did last week, Nicki Jhabvala joins the fray to discuss the beginning of the future.
But, the crown jewel may be usual Tuesday guest Mitch Tischler, as JP Finlay’s Beltway Football Podcast compadre had an interesting idea: he wants the Commanders to do the same thing they did last year in Week 18, and give the third-string QB a chance to beat Dallas?
"You know what I want to see on Sunday? I want to see Jake Fromm on Sunday,” Tischler said. “I don’t want to see this team put up a fight against Dallas. I don’t want this to b a last stand. Picking second is too important in this draft, so I don’t want this team to go out and find some horseshoe in Week 18. If the Cowboys win, they win the NFC East, so I know some fans want to see the Commanders play spoiler; in the moment, it will feel real good, but at the end of the day, it will hurt the future too much to go out there and win. I want them to play the same exact game they just played against the 49ers: a vanilla, milquetoast game. Fromm would try his best, but it doesn’t matter how hard he tries, it won’t turn out well.”
