BMitch: Commanders fans complaining about Cowboys celebrating 'part of the damn problem'

BMitch noticed some Commanders fans taking exception to the Cowboys pulling turkey legs out of the Salvation Army kettles behind the end zone during Thursday’s rout of Washington, and that got his blood boiling.

BMitch ranted that fans have created a culture where players don’t feel like they’re being held accountable, and as a result, you get blowouts like on Thanksgiving.

“I want some fans to understand, you are probably part of the damn problem,” BMitch said. “When they ran the score up, we had Phillip Daniels, a defensive player, saying they ran the score up on coach Gibbs. Your ass is on the field! Why don’t you do more?

“If this team handled their business, guess what? The can’t bring out the damn turkey legs.”

After going ahead 37-10, a group of Cowboys players ran to one of the kettles and each pulled out a turkey leg to celebrate a Thanksgiving feast. Some Commanders fans thought it was in bad taste, but BMitch says it only highlighted how fans aren’t helping players when it comes to accountability, and making it known that such a performance on national TV against a division rival is unacceptable.

“We sit up here and make excuses when we don’t play well,” BMitch said. “You know what, the players say they don’t hear it, but they hear everything. So when they hear that, ‘Oh, the fans aren’t mad at us.’ You gotta hold people accountable, man. Going forward, accountability is key…fans hold the players accountable. Make sure they understand. If they feel they are being held accountable, they will change stuff.

“If I feel I’m whipping you, I have the right to talk trash to you…when a guy hits a home run and is jogging around the bases, the pitcher is pissed off. Don’t throw that damn pitch.”
