With Thanksgiving just days away, the BMitch and Finlay crew looked at what Commanders fans have to be thankful for this season.
The most common answer was still the freedom from Dan Snyder.
“I would still say the thing you’re thankful for is change of ownership,” Finlay said. “I think their hands have been kind of tied on this season, and there are changes brewing. Even if there isn’t, I still believe it’s addition by subtraction.”
Landini agreed, and added a couple more with Washington’s offensive coordinator and quarterback.
“I’m thankful for Eric Bieniemy being here,” Landini said. “I think they have an offensive coordinator who actually knows what he’s doing.”
Finlay understood why Howell would be mentioned, as he currently leads the league in passing yards despite being vulnerable to interceptions.
“I think it’s totally fair if you’re a Commanders fan and you’re thankful for Howell,” Finlay said. “There appears to be a young quarterback on the horizon here that can matter, and it’s been awhile since we could say that.”
