Commanders sign former Chiefs WR Marcus Kemp

The Washington Commanders signed former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marcus Kemp on Friday, their first offensive signing since Eric Bieniemy was hired as offensive coordinator.

Kemp, 27, was an undrafted free agent out of Hawaii in 2017 and has had stints with the Chiefs, Dolphins and Giants, but has spent the majority of his six-year NFL career with Kansas City.

Kemp has four career catches for 42 yards. He also had one catch for 13 yards during this year's AFC Championship Game against Cincinnati and has made appearances in five separate postseasons with the Chiefs.

Kemp became available after the Chiefs declined to sign him to a futures contract following their Super Bowl win.
