Jim Harbaugh is a national champion, winning it all with Michigan on Monday night after a thrashing of Washington.

There was already speculation of Harbaugh potentially bolting the college game for the NFL before the College Football Playoff, and now, the Harbaugh watch is at a fever pitch.

With the Commanders being one of several head coaching vacancies after the dismissal of Ron Rivera, should Washington fans covet Harbaugh to be their team’s next head coach? Grant and Danny debated, and they would be cautious about the hire, to say the least.

“I wouldn’t be upset if he came, but this wouldn’t be your first choice,” Danny said. “He might go be successful somewhere. I just know, eventually, your luck runs out. I know eventually, you rub enough people the wrong way, and the whole thing comes crashing down. And I don’t want to be left holding the bag.”

Grant also rose questions of Harbaugh not being in line with a harmonious leadership group that the Commanders seem to covet, and the parity of Harbaugh could make it a risky option. Still, his recent success at Michigan and previous success with the 49ers is undeniable.
