People have been wondering – nay, CLAMORING – to hear Grant Paulsen’s stance on how the Commanders should use the No. 2 pick put into stone, as he has said in the past h would take Drake Maye – but now it’s official: he NEEDS them to take a signal-caller.
“I think passing on a quarterback at No. 2 overall would be an absurd, outrageous mistake by this regime. They need to stay put and take a quarterback,” Grant said. “Now, I will hedge slightly and say if they move back and still get a quarterback in the Top 10 and get extra picks, I will grant them immunity from my outrage. But it will be the first big mistake of this regime, the first time my man-crush on Adam Peters gets tested a little bit, if they do not take a quarterback at No. 2 overall. Put it in concrete, put it in pen: if they don’t come out of the Top 10 with a quarterback, it will be a massive mistake.”
Take a listen to his entire rationale, and Danny’s 'Devil's advocate' response, above!
