Josh Harris received a standing ovation and a rousing applause when he was first introduced as Commanders owner on Friday, but his mother Sylvia may have stolen the show.
As Harris first stepped up to the podium at Friday's introductory press conference, he made sure to thank his mother for helping get to where he is now, leading an ownership group of the team he grew up rooting for.
"None of this would have been possible without my mom, Sylvia Harris," Harris said, pointing to his mother seated in front of him.
Sylvia stood and waved to the applauding crowd, before jokingly donning herself a new nickname.
"To you, I'm mom," Sylvia said to her son. "But to everyone else, please call me 'Momma Commander.'"
