JUNKIES: The Commanders have zero Pro Bowlers, and that's a damning indictment of Ron Rivera

The Junks used their first Feinstein Friday to have John look back at the Ron Rivera era and how we’re right back to square one – and there’s perhaps no better indicator of that than the fact that the Commanders have ZERO Pro Bowlers this year.

Not that many if any deserved a nod, to be fair, and a few here or there may still end up partaking in the festivities, but yeah…a pretty solid indicator of failure over time.

“If you’re a Commanders fan, that is something you have to be looking forward to: a new staff coming in and doing a better job in the Draft and free agency,” Cakes said. “They have to go out and find the right players to fit the system of the new head coach.”

“The Niners had nine Pro Bowlers, and I get that it’s just an honor these days,” Bish said. “But still, to be named is a big deal, and there’s incentives in contracts, and it’s hard to not have any when you have that many players on your roster and play 17 games.

“It’s an indicator of the talent on your roster, and just another stain on Ron’s legacy,” Cakes shot back, and Valdez had the dagger: “One Pro Bowler, Chase his rookie year? You couldn’t do that if you tried.”

Take a listen to Cakes and Bish’s full discussion on the phenomenon and their breakdown of Rivera’s entire tenure above!
