Kayvon Thibodeaux continued his ascent on Sunday, tallying two sacks and three quarterback hits in a win over the Commanders in Washington.
The sacks brought Thibodeaux up to 10.5 on the season, more than double the four he posted in his rookie year, and he made it clear after the game that getting to 10 sacks on Sunday was the goal.
In fact, he let Commanders offensive tackle Charles Leno know about it.
Thibodeaux told reporters that he thanked Leno before halftime, and when Leno asked why he was being thanked, Thibodeaux responded, “For giving me the 10 sacks later today.”
Thibodeaux indeed picked up one more sack to get him over 10 sacks for the season, while Leno and the Commanders had little answer for the Giants defense on Sunday, as Big Blue forced six takeaways in the victory.
