The Commanders finally have the WR2 many have been wanting – per multiple reports, they are signing Stefon Diggs to a one-year deal.
Diggs, 32, spent last season with New England, starting all 17 games and making 85 catches for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns – leading the Patriots in catches and receiving yards – and added 14 catches for 110 yards and four more scores in their run to the Super Bowl.
The three-time Pro Bowler has topped the 1,000-yard mark in seven of the last eight seasons, and has 11,054 career yards in 11 seasons with the Vikings, Bills, Texans, and Pats.
The Olney, Maryland native and former Terp now joins a Commanders WR corps that was unproven behind Terry McLaurin, as Deebo Samuel’s exit left journeymen Dyami Brown and Van Jefferson, former first-rounder Treylon Burks, rookie Antonio Williams, and recent draftees Jaylin Lane and Luke McCaffrey as the top options behind Scary Terry at the wideout slot.
