Bill Belichick is on the hot seat in New England, according to NBC Sports Boston’s Tom Curran, and could be coaching for his job this season with the Patriots.
If New England puts together another mediocre season and Belichick, one of the most accomplished head coaches of all time is fired, should the Commanders and their new ownership bring Belichick in to be their new head coach?
The Sports Junkies seem to agree that there’s an obvious answer.
“Instantly,” EB said. “You roll the dice instantly give him $20 million a year.
“There’s no reason to think he would be successful here, but how could you pass on one of the top three head coaches of all time?”
“As much as I despise defensive head coaches…I would have to make an exception,” JP said. “And I don’t like hiring 70-year-olds, but if I can get him, of course I could take him. With the revolving door of horrible coaches that have been in Washington, you would have to roll the dice on Belichick.”
