The Commanders lost yet again, but once again, Sam Howell was strong in Seattle: 29-of-44 for 312 yards and 3 TD, although he was sacked three times and lost a fumble.
So, what say ye, ol’ Junkies minus the Bish, in your Week 10 Howell Evaluation?
“I think Ron Rivera nailed it – Howell gave him a chance to win, although you’d like to get Terry and Jahan involved more, but in the end, he led them on a game-tying touchdown drive,” JP began. “He had a fumble, so I’ll give him an A-minus.”
“I give him an A,” Cakes replied. “I mean, the guy goes into Seattle, one of the toughest places to play in the league, puts up over 300 and three touchdowns with no picks. The fumble stinks, but look, the guy was trying to make a play and extend, so again, he learns and process, so he's gonna learn to go down quicker next time and hopefully not fumble going forward. He was the fifth-highest rated quarterback of the week yesterday with a 109 rating, and has the fifth-most passing yards in NFL history through 11 games. I don't see how you don't at least give him an A for that performance yesterday.”
EB is not so sure.
“I don’t know; I could give him an A, I'm just gonna give him a B-plus,” EB said. “I love him and I think he's been an A for the season, but we did go four out of five drives with punts, and then a field goal on the fifth, and I feel like that's kind of where we lost the game. The game was really mediocre for, I'd say, 2 1/2 to 3 quarters. I like him, I’m not disappointed in him at all, but we need more production. Maybe not all on him, I just think he could have been a little bit better.”
Take a listen to the full evaluation, along with some calls on Howell, above!
