The Sports Junkies opened their first show of the Josh Harris era on Friday by looking back at the celebration of the last day of the Dan Snyder era.
The Junks were in attendance at The Bullpen for the Burgundy and Sold celebration, and they were in awe of the turnout and the atmosphere throughout the evening.
“The enthusiasm, the excitement, it is real,” EB said. “People were so fired up. It felt like the buzz after winning a playoff game. It was just all, ‘F--k Dan Snyder, it’s over.’
“I’ve never seen a group of people happier.”
Cakes got on stage and fired the crowd up after the approval of the sale became official, and while it turned into a late night, and he was feeling it Friday morning, it was well worth it.
“It was palpable,” Cakes said. “You could just tell the pent-up frustration from the fanbase over the years that had been building and building, and it was let go yesterday. People were ready to celebrate.
“I had a dude offer me $100 bucks for a Burgundy and Sold shirt before they went on sale. I almost ripped it off and went around shirtless.”
