BMitch and Finlay admit that when they heard Commanders fans say they were done watching the team until Dan Snyder was no longer the owner, they didn't always believe that angry crowd.
But looking around the city, and how Nationals and Capitals gear seemed to outweigh Commanders apparel, they realized some fans were for real.
"People have said they're not gonna support the team, and I was like 'Yeah, whatever,'" BMitch said. "But if you looked around, people really meant what they were saying. A lot of them stopped supporting them."
So, with Snyder now on the way out, are the Commanders about to take over the city once again? There is a lot of damage to be fixed, but BMitch and Finlay believe it will eventually get to that point.
"For every loud person who said they can't root for them with Dan around…those people were probably full of it," Finlay said. "They probably just wanted to be heard because they were mad. Far worse than that was the apathy and disinterest that Dan Snyder brought to the organization.
"They've lost [attendance] in the stadium, they've lost television eyeballs…it's almost impossible to do. The rest of the league hasn't seen that. The rest of the teams in the division…it has grown and grown, and the product has grown and grown."
