WFT Reserve/Covid-19 list down to five as more reinforcements return for Dallas game

The Washington Football Team's Reserve/Covid-19 list is down to five players after a string of players were removed from the list on Friday.

Quarterback Kyle Allen, safety Kam Curl, linebacker Milo Eifler and cornerback Kendall Fuller were all activated from the Covid list Friday morning. Washington also activated safety Darrick Forrest off the Covid list on Thursday and placed guard Zack Bailey on the Covid list. Forrest had been on it since last Wednesday, Dec. 15.

It's a strong sign that Washington is weathering the storm that at one point took out more than 40 percent of its active roster, forcing the NFL to postpone a Week 15 matchup between Washington and Philadelphia by two days. After being forced to start Garrett Gilbert, who'd signed with the team just four days earlier, at quarterback in that game, Washington also got Taylor Heinicke back from the Covid list on Thursday.

The slew of hopeful updates comes as Washington prepares to face first-placed Dallas on Sunday night.

Updated Reserve/Covid-19 List (dates added to list):

C Tyler Larsen (Dec. 16)
RB Wendell Smallwood (Dec. 17)
G Brandon Scherff (Dec. 20)
LB Cole Holcomb (Dec. 22)
G Zack Bailey (Dec. 23)
