Adam Epstein isn't leaving -- he's not going anywhere.

Amidst the then-rumors of VCU head coach's Mike Rhoades' departure from the Rams, AWadd kicked off Wednesday (March 29) afternoon's show by channeling a bit of The Wolf of Wall Street.

"I did want to start the show today by addressing the rumors," he said. "Our radio station, Audacy, is headquartered in Pennsylvania. I have been in contact with multiple program directors -- I can tell you that AWadd has received an offer, but I will not be taking the job. I'm not leaving. I'm not ever leaving. I'm calling Richmond my home and I'm not leaving.

"I'll tell you guys right now, this is a dream come true for me and my family to [...] be the voice of sports radio here in Richmond. I've been on a long ride for a long time, worked at plenty of radio stations, worked podcasts, networks, worked on TV shows. The ride stops here. This is home."

"I have a goal in mind to give you the best damn sports talk in town and put pride and effort into every single show that I do," he added. "I'm telling you guys right now: I won't leave for a bigger job. I'm committed to making the 804 my home. [...] I'll tell you what I am: I am uncommon unafraid, untraditional, unequalled, unstoppable, unconventional, unlimited and I am unaffected by any rumors. I am a VCU lifer."

Rhoades, of course, was later confirmed to have accepted the head coaching job at Penn State. Utah State's Ryan Odom filled the void at VCU less than four hours later.
