Pittsford, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Following Tuesday's training camp practice at St. John Fisher University, Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Alec Anderson was transported to a Rochester area hospital due to heat-related health symptoms.
The good news, though, is the Bills say Anderson spoke with the team's medical staff, general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott by phone a short time after being taken to the hospital, and seemed to be in good spirits.
The Bills further added Tuesday that Anderson was expected to be released from the hospital later that afternoon.
Anderson has been with the Bills since signing as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA in 2022. He made the Bills' 53-man roster as a depth offensive lineman in 2023 after spending the year prior on the team's practice squad.
The Bills have Wednesday off from practice before returning to work at St. John Fisher University with a 9:45 a.m. ET practice. on Thursday.
