Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills will hold their three-day mandatory minicamp Tuesday through Thursday this week. It will be the final three workouts of their offseason program, which began on April 6.
The team will then take a break before reporting to St. John Fisher University for training camp at the end of July.
It will be Joe Brady's first mandatory minicamp as a head coach in the NFL. Because the Bills hired a new head coach when Brady took over for Sean McDermott, they were allowed to begin their offseason workout program two weeks earlier than teams with a returning head coach.
Up until this week, all offseason workouts have been voluntary. That will change with mandatory minicamp, as all players under contract are required to attend or are subject to being fined by the team.
Over the past three weeks, the Bills held voluntary organized team activities (OTAs). One practice per-week has been open to the media to watch and report on. Several notable players have not been seen at any of those practices, including running back James Cook and linebacker Dorian Williams. Others, such as offensive tackles Spencer Brown and Dion Dawkins and safety Cole Bishop, were seen at the facility, but not on the field.
So attendance will be something to monitor starting on Tuesday.
The media will be able to watch practice on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Players who are recovering from injuries will also be a focus those two days. That includes edge rusher Michael Hoecht, who is recovering from a torn Achilles last November, but has been working with trainers on the sidelines during OTAs.
Wide receiver Joshua Palmer has also been working with trainers on the sidelines.
Linebacker Terrel Bernard and defensive tackle Ed Oliver have both been on the field as they recover from injuries that cost them playing time in 2025.
Quarterback Josh Allen, who had offseason foot surgery, has been present and participating fully in every practice open to the media during OTAs.
Brady is scheduled to speak to the media at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday before the team hits the field at 2:15 p.m..
