For the first time in three decades, the Buffalo Bills appear to be perennial Super Bowl contenders, and Josh Allen wants to be the one to finally get the city that Lombardi Trophy.
The Bills quarterback joined the "Jim Rome Show” on Thursday and talked about just how significant it would be to win a Super Bowl in Buffalo.
“I think it would mean everything, in terms of why I play this game,” Allen said. “To be the best at something takes a whole lot of preparation, a lot of skills and a lot of guys coming together to accomplish one single goal.
“Given the 'Bills Mafia' history, the things the city has had to endure: the 17-year drought, we know about the stuff before that I won’t even mention. To give them that Super Bowl I have vivid dreams of the parade and what t would be like. It’s something that I want to happen so badly that I won’t stop until we do it. So, we’re working on it.”
Allen has reached the playoffs in three-straight seasons since being drafted by the Bills in 2018.
They were ousted by the Kansas City Chiefs the past two seasons, and now it appears as if the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe Burrow could become another annual adversary for years to come.
Allen is still just 25-years-old, and as long as the Bills continue to surround him with the right talent, Buffalo will be in the Super Bowl conversation each year.
