One of the next items of business for Draymond Green after winning his fourth title and hosting a growing podcast is getting a max contract extension.
The report that dropped Wednesday evening instantly sparked a widespread conversation across social media, including a response from his mom, Mary Babers-Green, who was all over Twitter agreeing with her son's comment and calling out the critics.
“A lot of you are saying he shouldn’t get MAX but guys that hasn’t won anything get BREAD based off potential!” Green’s mom tweeted Wednesday, adding the hashtag, “#MANGONE.”

Green turns 33 heading into his 11th season with just two years left on his deal with Golden State. According to The Athletic, the Warriors forward believes he deserves a four-year max extension and is willing to explore his options if the Warriors fail to meet his desires -- despite wanting to stay with Golden State.
Babers-Green then had a conversation with a fan on Twitter about how the Detriot Pistons is her favorite team while implying that her son would look nice in their uniform. However, people misconstrued her words, taking it as Draymond being interested in heading back to Michigan to play for the Pistons.
“I never said, I wanted my son on the PISTONS! Stop taking ppl words & twisting them SHEESH! That’s why I’m not active anymore on social media. Y’all LIE TOO MUCH!"
The Warriors will have a lot of tough decisions to make. It seems to be in their best interest to resolve Green's contract negotiations sooner rather than later.
