A former Ohio State football player was recently arrested after allegedly carjacking a woman and forcing her to withdraw cash from an ATM.

Marcus Williamson, who played with the Buckeyes for five years from 2017-21, was arrested last week on charges of kidnapping and robbery in Memphis, Tennessee.

According to an affidavit obtained by Memphis CBS affiliate 10 WBNS, Williamson is accused of kidnapping a woman and taking her wallet and phone, then forcing her to drive to an ATM to withdraw $500. He then allegedly made the woman leave the vehicle and drove off, the affidavit said.

Police officers allegedly found Williamson the next day, driving the vehicle into a car wash, where he was seen throwing some of the woman's belongings into a trash can. The victim later identified Williamson in a photo lineup.

Williamson was being held on $80,000 bond, 10 WBNS reported.

The former Buckeyes defensive back, 23, is a native of Westerville, Ohio. He made headlines late last season when he quit the team and announced his retirement from football prior to Ohio State's Rose Bowl matchup against Utah.

Williamson then proceeded to unleash a tweet-storm throughout the Rose Bowl game, including comments that were critical of Ohio State coaches and fans.

In addition to those criticisms, Williamson also revealed that Ohio State coaches had shown incoming freshman players a photo of a hooded Trayvon Martin as part of a "no hoodie" policy at team facilities.

Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer initially denied the accusation but later admitted the photo was added to the presentation by a "support staffer." In a separate tweet, Williamson also claimed that Meyer had threatened to "ruin his f---ing life" if Williamson were ever "caught smoking."
