Chicago will hire Chris Fleming as its lead assistant, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Wednesday evening. Fleming, 49, has served as a Nets assistant coach for the past three seasons. He also worked as a Nuggets assistant coach in 2015-'16.
Prior to that, Fleming had extensive experience in Germany, where he served as a head coach for 14 years. As part of that journey, he led the Brose Baskets Bamberg to to four German League championships. He also captured four German Cup championships and three German Supercup championships as a head coach in addition to coaching the German national team.
Fleming started his collegiate career at Connecticut before transferring to Richmond. He played professionally in Germany as well before transitioning to coaching.
