With Quinn Addition, Trevathan Sees 'Dangerous' D

(670 The Score) When the Bears signed star pass rusher Robert Quinn in March, they viewed the addition as making an investment in their entire defense.

They believe Quinn's presence as an edge rusher opposite of star Khalil Mack will create advantageous opportunities for others to make plays. That's certainly what veteran linebacker Danny Trevathan believes in assessing what Quinn's addition could mean for the Bears.

"We're going to be monsters," Trevathan said on a teleconference Wednesday. "There's no doubt in my mind. I watched Quinn from afar. I know he's been going for a while. He knows what he's doing. He's a wrecking machine. Now you've got to watch this side here, this side over here. You've got to watch the middle. You've got to watch the back end. Front seven. Dangerous."

The Bears' most notable moves on defense this offseason were signing Quinn to a five-year deal worth up to $70-million and also retaining Trevathan on a three-year deal worth up to $21.75 million.

Quinn, 30, had 11.5 sacks in 14 games for the Cowboys in 2019. Trevathan, 30, is entering his fifth season with the Bears.
