(670 The Score) In search of their next general manager, the Jets have requested to interview Bears assistant director of player personnel Champ Kelly, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported.

Kelly has been with the Bears organization since 2015, arriving first as the team's director of pro scouting. He came with general manager Ryan Pace to Chicago after spending eight years with the Broncos organization.

Kelly spent the 2015 season with the Bears and the six years prior with the Broncos working along with Adam Gase, the current head coach and interim general manager of the Jets.

The Jets have also reportedly requested to interview Eagles vice president of player personnel Joe Douglas, who worked in the Bears' front office in the 2015 season.

New York fired Mike Maccagnan last week after four seasons as the Jets' general manager, naming the newly hired Gase as the interim in that position.
