Cunningham joins the Bears with 14 years of NFL experience, including the last five with the Eagles. He served as Philadelphia's director of player personnel in 2021.

As assistant general manager, Cunningham is considered second in command to new Bears general manager Ryan Poles, who was hired by Chicago on Tuesday. Cunningham is the first assistant general manager in Bears franchise history.
