(104.3 The Score) As expected, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams will miss his second straight game Sunday as he deals with a hamstring injury.
The Bears on Friday officially ruled Williams out for their game against the Jets on Sunday. The team has declined to publicly name a starter between backups Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum, though head coach Ben Johnson noted early in the week that Bagent earned the No. 2 spot on the depth chart "for a reason.”
The Bears also ruled out nickelback Kyler Gordon (calf), offensive tackle Braxton Jones (knee), linebacker Noah Sewell (Achilles) and defensive tackle Shemar Turne (knee) for Sunday. Defensive back Cam Lewis (hip) is doubtful to play.
Bears running back D'Andre Swift didn’t carry an injury designation, so he’s good to go. Swift was held out of action Thursday due to a knee issue but worked in full Friday.
The Jets ruled out running back Breece Hall, receiver Adonai Mitchell, tight end Mason Taylor and left guard Dylan Parham for Sunday.
The Bears (2-1) and Jets (1-2) will kick off Sunday at noon from Soldier Field.
