(670 The Score) Cubs left-hander Jose Quintana has landed on the injured list again.
Quintana on Wednesday was placed on the 10-day injured list with left lat inflammation. The move was retroactive to Monday. Quintana missed more than four weeks to open the shortened 60-game regular season as he recovered from surgery to repair a thumb laceration.
Quintana had appeared in two games for the Cubs since returning, allowing four runs across six innings of work. He had been scheduled to make a start for the Cubs this coming weekend.
In a corresponding roster move, right-hander Jason Adam has been recalled from the Cubs' alternate camp at South Bend.
