Steele is having a strong season, posting a 2.03 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 11 appearances.
In a corresponding move, Chicago recalled lefty reliever Brad Wieck from Triple-A Iowa. He has thrown two scoreless innings for the Cubs this season.
