(670 The Score) Last winter, Cubs outfielder Ian Happ noticed his hairline was moving in a precarious direction.
Happ, 26, was in the early stages of balding, so he got out in front of it. Happ became the newest Restore Hair spokesman after having the procedure done in January.
"The hairline was receding, we were getting a little thin on top," Happ said on the Dan Bernstein Show on Friday. "I said why not pre-emptively strike this thing? Make sure that my hair is good to go. I have a brother who's six years older, and I could see where I was headed with his hairline. I wanted to get ahead of it."
A Pittsburgh native, Happ now has billboards plastered all across the Chicagoland area with Restore.
That includes a billboard downtown Chicago that Happ went to see for himself. As he glanced up at it, a woman noticed the billboard and then who was standing under it. She recognized it was Happ.
"Sometimes you got to find different ways to fluff yourself," Happ said. "Once in a while, it's a billboard."
