(104.3 The Score) Second baseman Nico Hoerner and the Cubs have agreed on a six-year contract extension, according to multiple reports Thursday afternoon.
The new deal will keep Hoerner tied to Chicago through 2032. He had been set to hit free agency after the 2026 season.
Hoerner, 28, is coming off a terrific 2025 campaign in which he hit .297 with seven homers, 61 RBIs, 29 steals and a .739 OPS in 156 games. He also won his second Gold Glove award.
