(WFAN) The MLB lockout will continue after no deal was reached Tuesday afternoon, which almost guarantees that the 2022 season won't start on time.
On the players' side, there was frustration that the owners portrayed a feeling of hope during the extended talks Monday. Players accused the owners of using such a tactic to put the blame on the players for the debacle Tuesday. Already vocal about their frustration with the owners' negotiating tactics, including the delay in an initial proposal and a self-imposed deadline to reach a deal, the players were ready to lash out on social media once the league presented its so-called "best and final offer."
Here were some of the reactions from players across the league:
Ahh yes. "The Union has struck a different note today." Of course.
