The Smell Test dipped just below the magic .500 mark, but fear not! Things are turning around now and there are an absolute bevy of picks this weekend. How many you ask? We've got 11 (ELEVEN!) for college football on Saturday and nine for Week 6 in the NFL on Sunday. Let's go!
WHAT’S KEVIN'S FOOTBALL "SMELL TEST"?
It’s a contrarian handicapping philosophy. I look for the games where the public is convinced they have it figured out on a game's point spread or total and I go the other way. There’s more to it than that but for the most part, it’s the realization over many years that the house wins more than it loses and the house advantage comes from more than just the built-in vig/fee.
This is my 19th year doing the Smell Test on radio and/or podcast. I've had 13 winning seasons....5 losing seasons.
