The Washington Nationals are reportedly highly engaged in talks with Juan Soto about reaching an agreement on a contract extension.
According to MLB Insider Hector Gomez, talks are intensifying between the two sides regarding an extension offer in the range of 13 years, $425 million. That would represent a $75 million increase from the $350 million offer the Nats made Soto in the offseason.
Soto, 23, is currently slated to hit free agency following the 2024 season.
