Get ready to see some moonshots because Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo and Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto will compete in MLB's Home Run Derby next week in Denver, the club announced Wednesday.

Gallo joined 105.3 The Fan Tuesday and said he would like to participate in the derby but had yet to receive an invite from MLB.

"I don't know yet. I guess we'll just have to play it by ear and see what happens," Gallo said Tuesday on the GBag Nation. "I think I'd be down to do it, yeah. … I think Colorado would probably be a fun place to hit (home runs). We hit BP (batting practice) there earlier this year and it was definitely a fun place to hit BP. I think it's one of those parks where it's going to be a great show for the fans because balls are going to be going so far, like we're hitting on the moon, pretty much. It should be a good show, so we'll see. Hopefully, we'll see if I can get in it."

Gallo, a two-time All-Star, is on an absolute tear right now and became the first Ranger to ever hit 10 home runs in a 10-game span when he slugged his 22nd and 23rd home runs of the season on Wednesday afternoon vs Detroit.

Soto had his own home run Wednesday, a three-run shot in San Diego, his 11th on the season.

Gallo and Soto will compete next Monday against Shohei Ohtani, Pete Alonso, Trevor Story, Trey Mancini, Salvador Perez and Matt Olson.
