Commanders rookie Brian Robinson shot multiple times, in stable condition

Commanders rookie Brian Robinson has been shot multiple times in an apparent robbery attempt, JP Finlay of 106.7 The Fan reported Sunday evening. Sources tell Finlay Robinson's injuries are non-life-threatening.

Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan further reports that Robinson was the victim of a carjacking and was shot while in D.C. earlier Sunday. Robinson was shot twice, according to The Athletic's Ben Standig.


The Washington Commanders released a statement confirming Robinson sustained "non-life-threatening injuries" and team officials were on-site with him at the hospital.

Commanders owners Dan and Tanya Snyder, head coach Ron Rivera, team. president Jason Wright, GM Martin Mayhew, chief medical officer Tony Casolaro, and Barbara Roberts, director of mental wellness, are the officials at the hospital according to Standig.

A statement from the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department asked for people to be on the lookout for two black juvenile males with shoulder-length dreadlocks, medium complexion, and "wearing a black or brown shirt with yellow smiley faces on it."

Larry Calhoun of DC News Now reports that there was a shooting on H Street in the area of 8th and H St. Northeast and that D.C. Police were investigating a shooting in which one victim suffered gunshot wounds and a second victim suffered a graze wound injury.
