The Washington Commanders received the worst grades in the NFL in the NFLPA's annual report cards for the second consecutive year. The survey of the Commanders players was taken in October, just months after Josh Harris completed the purchase of the franchise from Dan Snyder and before he had much of a chance to change the franchise.
The lone bright spot for the Commanders was the team's strength coaches, who, it should be noted, appear to have been retained by the incoming new regime of Adam Peters and Dan Quinn, and received the lone A.
Of the 11 categories, the Commanders received an F or F- in five of them: treatment of families, locker room, training room, training staff and team travel. The food and cafeteria was a D+ (27th out of 32 NFL teams), the weight room was C (25th), the head coach (Ron Rivera who was dismissed at the end of the season) got a C (31st) and the nutritionist/dietician received a B- (21st).
The good news for the Harris group is ownership received a B (a new category for the 2024 survey), from Commanders players "when considering his willingness to invest in the facilities," the survey said.
