Ahead of the news that Commanders tight end Logan Thomas is out due to a concussion for Sunday's matchup against the Buffalo Bills, Washington tight end John Bates joined Kevin Sheehan to talk about the 2-0 start to the season and quarterback Sam Howell.

Bates, a former fourth-round pick out of Boise State, started off by talking about his love of the blue turf and playing for his hometown team in college. Then Sheehan pivoted to talking about the different and explosive offenses the Commanders are working with in Bates' third season with the team.

"This offense is so dynamic," Bates told Sheehan, "and it will do so many different things to attack the defense in so many different ways that players across the board from top to bottom are involved. And so, when you got an offense that can attack the defense in every way possible you got guys being able to make plays all over the field. It's been great so far."
