Ron Rivera spoke with the media Wednesday afternoon, following the Chase Young and Montez Sweat trades, and interestingly (at least to Craig Hoffman) deflected a big question on both.
When Ron was asked about the inconsistencies on the defensive front with the four first-round draft picks, Rivera pivoted to praising Sam Howell and the struggle to find a quarterback the last four years, which frustrated Craig into this quote:
“Quit talking about the excitement you have for a future you’re not going to be a part of.”
