Craig Hoffman's 10 biggest observations from the Commanders' win over Ravens

The Washington Commanders scored a win over the Baltimore Ravens in the preseason, but the results matter less than the process and what comes out of the game. So Craig Hoffman has his Top 10 observations from the game and the first one is a crucial one tht could impact Sam Howell, the offense, and linger into Week 1 of the season.

1) Wide receiver Terry McLaurin is hurt. "This was the risk," Hoffman said. "Playing Sam Howell [Monday night] perfectly defensible decision... part of the problem of playing Howell is that you had to play everybody else to give him the best chance to succeed and that included Terry McLaurin."

Expect the Commanders to take things very slowly with McLaurin in his recovery and they will have to

2) Sam Howell showed up big time. "Sure it's the Ravens back-ups, but you take the test that's in front of you," Hoffman said, adding that outside of two plays, "Howell was really, really good."
