"I think there's not that question mark still," Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera said about finding a quarterback on Wednesday. "For three seasons I always felt like I had that question mark. And now you feel like, 'wow!' It feels like, ok, this is pretty good. I'm pretty comfortable, I'm pretty confident, and I look forward to seeing it."
Craig Hoffman took that quote and compared it to Rivera's fiery press conference defending Carson Wentz in a postgame press conference in Chicago last season. "That defensiveness of Carson Wentz is the same dude that today is like, 'yeah, I'm good on quarterback. We're chillin'," Hoffman said.
Hoffman then gets into Eric Bieniemy talking about the injury wide receiver Terry McLaurin sustained late in the first half against the Baltimore Ravens in the second preseason game Monday night and if the club is striking the right balance between risk and reward of playing starters during the preseason.
