It’s tough for some fans to root for their team to lose, even if it benefits the future – see also that surely, some Commanders fans, despite the team being 4-12 and a loss to Dallas almost ensuring the No. 2 overall pick, just can’t root for the Cowboys (especially them!) to win on Sunday.
So with that in mind, Craig Hoffman and Anthony Haynie had an idea on Friday: is there a chance that the lesser of two evils or least of three is rooting for other teams to win? Like, for example, are Commanders fans also rooting against the Jets and Seahawks (hoping New England and Arizona, respectively, win), or maybe even some help from the 5-11 Giants, Chargers, or Titans?
Oh, and yeah, let’s not forget that if certain teams win (looking at you, anyone that New England or Arizona played) wins this weekend, strength of schedules go up, which could affect tiebreakers.
