Eric Eager, NFL analyst for Sumer Sports, joined The Sports Junkies on Wednesday to preview the upcoming NFL Draft, but also chimed in on the show’s poll of the day: should the Commanders trade Chase Young for a third-round pick?
“I probably would,” Eager said. “Are you really gonna pay him? What’s the best outcome for Chase Young? If he plays pretty good this year, given his draft status, he’s probably going to command $20-25 million…I just don’t know if they can fit everybody there.”
Eager also touched on what to expect from Washington in the NFL Draft, Eric Bieniemy’s impact on the draft and potentially getting a running back in the first round, and how his short-term scope on the job could play a part in how the Commanders approach the draft.
