After Dan Quinn spoke to NFL Network over the weekend, some came to the conclusion that the Washington Commanders were locked into taking LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels with the No. 2 overall pick in next month's NFL Draft.

Then Tom Pelissero of NFL Network said that in the course of his conversations with executives from other teams who know Commanders GM Adam Peters at the NFL Annual Meeting, "the most popular answer for what they do at No. 2 is JJ McCarthy."

Does anybody know what is going on?

Well, yes, there are lots of reports and little definitive truth and there are 30 days until we know for sure when the card with the second overall pick will be read by NFL comissioner Roger Goodell at the draft in Detroit, Michigan.

Until then, Craig Hoffman spoke with J.P. Finlay who is on the ground in Orlando, Florida at the NFL's meetings for an in-depth discussion on all the topics facing the Commadners and the football world.

In the conversation from the Hoffman Show, they delve into Quinn's remarks about the Commanders potentially trading back in the Draft, analyze the significance of Washington's signing of center/guard Michael Deiter on Monday, and share insights on the NFL's decision to ban the hip-drop tackle.
