The Washington Commanders' deadline for bids came and went last month without a bid from Jeff Bezos, according to a report from Front Office Sports.
The report by AJ Perez cited sources with knowledge of the process and noted that this does not mean the Amazon executive chairman is out of the running to purchase the franchise from owner Daniel Snyder. But he may have to move quickly if he wants to seal the deal.

106.7 The Fan's JP Finlay tweeted Sunday afternoon that he had also heard Bezos did not submit a bid and had "people tell me the Snyder family has absolutely no interest in selling to Bezos."
Finlay added that Bezos not submitting may not prevent a sale and that he "heard today from a source close to the situation that 'it will be over soon.'"
According to Perez, none of the half-dozen bids submitted by the Dec. 23 deadline exceeded $6.3 billion. These bids are lower than what was expected.
In August of 2022, Forbes valued the Commanders at $5.6 billion, good for the sixth highest in the NFL.
In a statement, the team declined to comment to Front Office Sports through a spokesperson: “We are not commenting on anything related to a potential transaction.”
