The Commanders are 4-5 at the halfway point of the season, and won a defensive battle Sunday without their two star pass rushers. The final eight have some tough games in the Niners, Dolphins, and Cowboys twice, but also a Seahawks team that was decimated yesterday, a struggling Giants squad, an up-and-down Jets team, and a Rams team that fits all of the above.
If 4-4 is possible, and another Week 18 game vs. Dallas could have the Cowboys playing for nothing, is 9-8 or even 8-9 a playoff contender in a wide open NFC? And if so, should the Commanders go for it, or embrace the tank and not be picking in the mid-teens again?
