The 2024 NFL Draft is still months away, but with Washington installing a new GM in Adam Peters this week, what do we think the Commanders will be doing with the No. 2 overall selection? CBS Sports' Josh Edwards tells Kevin Sheehan that right now it looks like it will be one of two quarterbacks in Drake Maye or Caleb Williams, whichever guy does not go No. 1 overall.
And for Edwards, that means Washington landing another QB out of UNC as he doesn't see the Chicago Bears moving off the top pick and believes – as of right now – the NFC North side will select the former Heisman Trophy winner out of USC.
Sheehan tends to agree with Edwards that the Bears firing the OC and QB coach means they are likely to move on from Justin Fields, which means Washington will be taking the second quarterback in the draft.
After getting that out of the way at the start, Sheehan and Edwards look at the veteran quarterbacks on the move around the NFL, the quarterbacks in the draft and the draft at large. Listen to the full conversation from The Kevin Sheehan Show on the audio player above.
